The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation’s (LCTF) main focus as a charity is supporting people who have vasculitis, and raising public awareness of the condition. we work closely with health care professionals where we can – including our Medical Trustees, who run vasculitis clinics and are experts in their fields.

As a healthcare professional, a charity website is not necessarily going to be your first port of call when looking at vasculitis – but we hope that some of the information and resources we provide are of use to you and your patients.

For any more information, please get in touch – we’re always happy to help in whatever way we can.

For Patients

We provide information for patients about different types of vasculitis and treatments in both a generalised way and more specific formats, including factsheets and videos. We also provide residential courses. Support services include support groups, someone to talk to and formal counselling, respite accommodation, holistic treatments, wellbeing advice and practical information about issues out with their medical condition which may cause stress or impact on their health.

Some people also find it useful to read about other people’s experiences.

SERVICE USERS

For Professionals

Most of our resources are targeted at providing support and services for people who have vasculitis or invested in awareness campaigns. however, we also work with health professionals where we can. two key areas are in research, and guidance materials.

For a number of years LCTF has partnered with the British Society for Rheumatology (BSR) to support the delivery of vasculitis guidance, and we fund an annual BSR webcast series focusing on vasculitis guidance and education. The education series focuses on trainees, allied health professionals and consultants in rheumatology and other disciplines responsible for the assessment and management of patients with vasculitis.
