15 years of The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation supporting people with Vasculitis.
15 fundraisers.
Raising £150,000.
This year is the 15th anniversary of The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation.
Over those 15 years, we’ve done a lot. We’ve set up a charity. Raised money. Raised awareness of vasculitis. Set up support services for people affected by vasculitis. Funded research into vasculitis. Engaged with health care professionals. Fought battles. And, most of all, helped people. We’ve come a long way.
So we’re marking it in a big way. With our ’15 for 15′ campaign.
During 2025, we’ll be involved in or running 15 fundraising events. For 15 years of supporting people with vasculitis. Our target is an ambitious £150,000.
It’s going to take a lot to get there, but we hope you can help.

About the 15 for 15 campaign
What we’re doing
This year is a big one. In every sense. ’15 for 15′ means we’re planning 15 fundraising events, and have an ambitious fundraising target of £150K. So there’s a lot going on, starting with February’s firewalk. Then there’s Munros, races, the Kiltwalks, the Black & Red Ball, and a whole lot more.
Get involved – follow what’s happening, spread the word, and maybe even take part!

Why we’re doing it
15 years ago, Adrienne and Grant Currie set up The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation after the death of their daughter, Lauren.
Lauren had only just turned 15.
Tragically, she needn’t have died. She had what’s now known as Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis, a form of vasculitis. But it was diagnosed too late. Had her symptoms been recognised sooner, she could have been treated.
LCTF was founded by her parents to honour their daughter, to support other people with vasculitis, and to raise awareness of the condition so that other familes don’t have to go through the same heartbreak.

How you can help
For us to succeed this year, we’ll all be working flat out. But we’re a small team of volunteers, so we really need your help. Please get involved.
This year more than any other, we need your help:
- Set up your own fundraising event – see how here
- Give if you can – see how to donate
- Follow us on social media – see our Facebook and Instagram, like and share our posts
- Download and share our social graphics and other materials – see them here
- Give your time, if you can – see how to volunteer

How to donate
We can’t do what we do without donations. And we know that it’s difficult to ask for donations when times are tough for a lot of us, but we really wouldn’t ask if we didn’t need it. It’s a hard truth.
All the support services, the groups, the counselling, the Twilight cabin, the research we support and courses we run – all of it is funded by donations. We have done so much over the past 15 years, and helped so many people, but we’ve so much more still to do. Please donate.
- Donate or fundraise through our JustGiving page
- Or see other ways to donate

How we’re doing
£150K is a lot of money. But we’re confident that we can reach it by the end of this year.
We’ve only just begun, though, and we’re still waiting for the conclusion of our first 15 for 15 event – our firewalk on 28 February. So come back regularly to see our progress!

Thank you to everyone who has got involved so far.
We’d like to give our heartmost thanks to everyone who has given their time, hard work or generous donations to this campaign, or anything else we do. Our thanks go to:

Help us raise awareness
Vasculitis is a relatively rare condition, and the chances are most people won’t have heard of it unless they know someone affected by it. Your help is invaluable in raising awareness – because with more awareness comes quicker diagnoses, better patient outcomes and – eventually – a cure.
Help support our work
Without donations and fundraising, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. All the information, resources, awareness campaigns, research and support services we offer are made possible by you. We really appreciate anything you can do for us – from monthly giving to something as simple as buying from our shop. Thank you.
