Support Launches in Scotland’s Capital

The Edinburgh support group launched on Saturday 18th February to a great success. Dr David Kluth and Dr Neeraj Dhaun from Queens Medical Research Institute in Edinburgh did a great Vasculitis presentation and an amazing one hour Q&A session for all attendees.   The meeting was well attended for the very first support event held in the capital for Vasculitis patients.  It was encouraging to hear one gentleman say that he had “suffered for twenty years on his own and it was great to have the support of others now”. The support groups are about bringing people together with Vasculitis, providing guidance information and allowing people to network and feel less isolated.

The Support group is funded and organised by the Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation as part of patient support services. The group will meet again at the King James Thistle Hotel in Edinburgh on the 21st April 2012.
