Quarter of a million for Vasculitis in 3 years!

We never thought when we lost Lauren in October 2010 that her charity would raise what it has. It set a smaller target when we opened the charity after Lauren passed away and continued to reassess this target as the charity continued to grow.  The charity, now 3 years old, set a target for a quarter of a million in 3 years to support vasculitis research and to directly help anyone affected by vasculitis through a dedicated patient centre online.  The accounts for Lauren’s charity finished the 3rd year on the 31st March 2014, and despite the accounts required auditing and verification there is early indication that Lauren’s charity is £5,000 off achieving our £250,000 target. This is an incredible achievement!

Lauren’s charity is funding two ongoing research projects, drug trials, an online patient support facility and a respite cabin on the banks of Loch Awe.  It has never slowed in our response to making life easier for patients and has developed some ground breaking services and support.  The great news is that it has funded all these projects entirely from your donations and proceeds from charity events – no government or agency funding.

Lauren continues to inspire her parents and her charity to help those affected with Vasculitis in her name. Thank you to our supporters and trustees for incredible support in helping the charity raise this amount. With your support we may one day raise that £1m.
