New Bristol Support Group Launches

A new support group launches on 14th April 2012 in Bristol.  Dr Harsha Gunawardena is an experienced  Consultant in Vasculitis and will be speaking at this first group meeting.  The support group is being started by Jackie Sullivan who has had Vasculitis for a number of years.  Jackie felt there was a need for a meeting in the area.  The group meetings are  funded by the Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation, a UK charity set up in October 2010 following the death of Lauren Currie, aged 15, from Vasculitis.

This group will be a welcomed support to sufferers in the Bristol area who have been seeking support for sometime.  The group aims to provide a guest speaker and a relaxed atmosphere with catering for Vasculitis sufferers to meet and feel less isolated.

The funding for the group is not a start up grant but instead an ongoing funding commitment from the LCT Foundation to provide support facilities for as log as support is needed.
