LCTF Runners Raise over £3000 for Vasculitis

The Great Scottish Run in Glasgow is an annual 10k and half marathon which takes runners through the streets of the city, starting at George Square and finishing at Glasgow Green. The 2013 was sold out with 27,000 runners taking part for charities throughout Scotland. Lauren’s charity had 14 runners participating this year to support the great work of Lauren’s Foundation.   Seven teachers from King’s Park primary supported the event by getting in to training and running the event. The charity has a special place in their hearts as Lauren was a former pupil at the primary School which has supported her charity since it was established.Vivienne & Craig Kerr ran the event with close friends.  Vivienne had been diagnosed with Wegener’s Granulomatosis (Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis) and has supported the work of the foundation from the very first year it was established.  Lauren’s close friends also ran the event to help raise awareness of the disease and to run in the memory of their friend.

Thank you to everyone for taking part and helping to support Lauren’s charity fight Vasculitis.
