LCTF Give Talk To NHS Immunology

The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation will give a talk on Vasculitis to NHS Immunologists as part of an Autoimmune focus day next month.  Grant Currie, Trustee of Lauren’s Foundation, delivered a talk to laboratory staff in November and the NHS have now asked LCTF to give the same talk to Immunology. Grant delivered a presentation based on Lauren’s journey with Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (Wegeners). The talk delivered an insight from a patient’s perspective on the disease and covered Lauren’s tragic death through a failure to diagnose at a stage where the disease could be treated.  The talk is aimed at heightening awareness of Vasculitis and will use our awareness video presented by Dr Hilary Jones. Grant will also talk about the services offered by LCTF to support and guide patients across the UK, our dedicated research programme and our campaign to raise the profile on the disease and save lives through early diagnosis.
