Lauren’s Legacy Raises £200,000 For Vasculitis!

In just two and a half years, Lauren’s charity has raised £200,000 for Vasculitis! This is an incredible achievement for her legacy and for all the supporters who have helped her charity – thank you. This money has been carefully invested across the four key objectives we set out to deliver after we lost Lauren

  • Greater public awareness and a stronger profile within the medical community.  Lauren’s charity has supported this through our amazing awareness events and our webcasts to patients and health professionals.  We have also invested in an awareness video with Dr Hilary Jones and delivered press, online and media publicity since 2010.
  • Our charity funds dedicated scientific research through our ANCA Vasculitis research in the UK . More recently we have funded a drug trial with UCL and Great Ormond Street Hospital for improved treatments in children suffering from Vasculitis. News on 2013-14 research grant funding will be announced shortly.
  • Lauren’s charity also invested in the very first online Patient Support Centre to assist and support patients with diet and nutrition advice, anxiety support, relaxation therapies, mobility grants, discussion forums, Independence alarm systems and guidance factsheets.  The charity also launched Vasculitis TV which now now has a dedicated channel page on our website with guidance videos and webcasts produced exclusively for Vasculitis.
  • The charity has also opened and funded support groups in Scotland and England.

Thank you everyone for your support and please help us to continue our fight against Vasculitis through Lauren’s legacy – The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation.
