Lauren’s Dad runs GSR 10k for LCTF.

I am Grant Currie, Lauren’s dad and trustee of Lauren’s Foundation.  We set up LCTF when we lost our precious daughter to Vasculitis on 23rd October and within a few days this charity was formed as a living tribute and legacy to an amazing and brave 15 year old.  It is my intention to run and complete the 10k at the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow on 2nd September 2012. I am running this in memory of our precious daughter Lauren and to fundraise for the work of her foundation. Funds raised will support our work in Vasculitis awareness, education, research and patient support through LCTF.

The charity was established to raise funds for Vasculitis and to develop and manage projects and services that will support patients.  The foundation has accomplished so much in 18 months from awarding patient grants to purchasing mobility and healthcare aides, launching an awareness video, developing a series of educational webcasts to embarking on a 3 year research study on Vasculitis at the University of Aberdeen.  We have also developed a national support group structure to help patients in their journey with Vasculitis.

I am running the 10k in Glasgow on 2nd September to help fund ongoing work through LCTF and help maintain existing services.  Please help me by donating what you can to our fundraising page at http://www.justgiving.com/Grant-Currie1

If you are a keen runner or walker then why not join us on Team Lauren.  You can walk or run the GSR 10k and we would be delighted to  have your company on the day to either participate or to support Team Lauren from the route.

Help us make a difference with Vasculitis.
